Re: Astra rough idle

So it has the ability to go closed loop. This is what I wanted to know. Does it do this @ 2500 RPM ? Have you checked the fuel pressure ? Have you clamped the EVAP ? To force rich/lean all you need to do is spray a little brake cleaner/propane in the intake & allow extra air in. If you noticed, the r...

Re: Astra rough idle

that's not what I asked for in the slightest, disconnecting the MAF proves nothing much & masks faults.I wanted to see the O2's .

You crack on ! :?

Re: Astra rough idle

Voltage scale on CHA wants altering (the signals hanging high(rich)) , the interference can be filtered out, there is always a lot of noise on an O2 sensor. I have a feeling I know what this car wants ! Alter your voltage scale/s & retake the capture & force it rich/lean & let's see if they respond ...

Why don't you do a search of the forum for RPM math from the CKP sensor

Re: TA 167 - Starting / Running current measurements

You are not clear on vehicle/engine type or why you want to 'log' starter & charging current ? I then set the Fluke to MIN MAX mode and carry out a few vehicle starts which show the MAX starting current to be about 340 Amps (+340 mV) Starter lock draw, not cranking current ! When the vehicle is runn...

Re: Waste spark wave form question

We actually encourage the uploading of PSDATA files to allow both Admin and other users to interrogate them directly.
Yes I know, I never encouraged him not to. I thought I was giving the guy a possibility..... obviously not.

Re: Light load surge

a scope will give you real time data, but sometimes this has to run along side live data (processed data) for comparison. My first port of call with a decent scanner would be code read, note & clear, live data check/graph whilst the surge occurs. From then on I would devise a test plan for anomalies ...

I thought only 2X time rulers were available, if you use the rotation rulers then you can have 4X.

Re: Light load surge

what do you plan to do with a scope ? Judging by your first post, do you think it plugs in the DLC ? EOBD compliency is usually 2001> for petrol & 2004> for diesel. If you haven't already get a scan done of the PCM (Citroen specific) & see what DTC's are there & relevant, clear & re-scan after the f...
