Re: Corsa poor starting and cutting out

The affected wire runs from alternator to BCM Pin (X46) 95. You are completely right. I just confirm. I was looking at a difrent car when I saw the connection to the ECU. Only explanation. Sorry for that... I suspect that BCM will broadcast that info onto the CAN Networks I believe the BCM will at ...

Re: Corsa poor starting and cutting out

The B1485 code comes (at least) in 2 different types (low voltage and high voltage). Witch one do you have? Is this the only problem with the car? STC, in this case, the alternator is connected to the BCM? I checked a wiring diagram for this, and I can only see a connection from the alternator to th...

Re: Subaru ABS Speed Sensor Circuit Distrotion

Could't it be from worn shocks or bad springs? Going over a speed bump, even if the car stays in the same linear speed, the up and down motion of the wheels will change the relative wheel speed momentarily. If the shocks are worn, and the up and down amplitude is higher, could't it fool the ABS modu...

Re: Volvo V70 R - 2003 - Fuel Pressure Fault

Have you check the current on the feed wire to the fuel pump and also on the feed to the fuel pump module? Just guessing, but a short (not dead short) on the pump feed wiring to ground, could cause the high voltage drop on the power feed. That could also cause the 2 volts that we see on the A channe...

Re: Audi A4 2.0 TDI Rough idle

I have been looking in the past for some type of PWM actuator like the one you use in this case. Thanks for showing this, I will probably buy one by the way  But with this particular one you point, you only have control on duty cycle and not frequency right? Isn't frequency an issue? Just aski...

Differential rail pressure sensor for Common Rail systems

Hi there I decided to share one of my adventures in finding an alternative way to diagnose the hydraulic function of a common rail injector in the vehicle. Or at least to get some clues of it... As far as I know, so far, we can use 3 test for hydraulic diagnosing common rail injectors: * Computer co...

Re: Waveform wanted: Faulty diesel injector

And if that is the case, then the "Improvement" you show in the before and after captures just happens to be (in this case) rectified by replacing the injector. Everyone is happy :D The curve ball being that a different fault in that cylinder , and subsequent rectification could possibly give simil...

Re: Waveform wanted: Faulty diesel injector

In this particular system there is no serial data that shows this. You only have data (angle and main injection time I believe) for number 1 cylinder. So, as far as I know, scoping the injector control was the only way to know that the ECU was doing this... But your right, at first glance the ECU co...

Re: New NVH Beta feature-Graphing PID's

If this feature was present in the scope software, like a math channel, that will be something... A lot of times, doing long captures, having a simple PID information for MIL ON, for instance, will be a plus. Combining fuel trim data with injector current/voltage waveform, O2 signal, ..., is another...

Re: Waveform wanted: Faulty diesel injector

Hi there Myke This is my first post in here, so I hope to be helpful to this thread. One time, one of my cars, an 2008 Opel/Vauxhall H 1.7 cdti (Denso system) develop a knocking noise at idle. Injector fault was my first thought, but that needed to be confirmed... So, my first try was to look at inj...
