I know the focus tdci's are bad for going into limp mode/lack of turbo boost if there is a glow plug issue so if i was you i would correct that fault and see what happens as the glow plugs are used for the emissions.
Sounds daft i know but can't overlook anything on a modern vehicle.

Just spoke to a guy that works in a bmw dealership and he said that there is 2 cam sensors for the vvt so Matt was correct!

I see in your notes you have put inlet cam and exhaust cam so i take it this model has a sensor for each camshaft?
If that is the case then they will be different as your inlet and exhaust valves open at different times?
Not sure if that is case, just my thoughts!

Hi Kevin, We have got james dillions scope book (yellow cover) it has good detail and isn't too heavy. I also bought Advanced Automotive Fault Diagnosis(2nd edition) by tom denton and it is good aswell doesn't tell you how to fix faults but explains how things work etc Heard bosch do some good books...

Had it out on a fiat ducato that was missing when warm, scoped crank sensor and signal was dropping out the warmer the engine got so the ecu was struggling to pick up what was going on.
