Key fob testing

Hi everyone. Has anyone figured out a way to sniff the signal from a key fob and display the signal using the Pico. There is a couple of good vids on you tube using oscilloscope to show the signal but I tried there methods with no success. I know we have the parking sensor and keyless entry probes. ...

Older software version

Hi everyone, I have an old win7 32 bit laptop kicking about that occasionally would be useful to run the Pico software on. Just wondering where I would be able to download an older reliable 32 bit Pico automotive piece of software from? Thanks.

Re: Since update live screen locks up momentarily

Sooooooooo :D Any one have a fix or a date for the un-freezable software. It is rather annoying waiting for the screen to burst back in to life at any given moment.

Since update live screen locks up momentarily

Has anyone experienced the live screen intermittently pausing for 20 to 30 seconds since the last update? It is always recording even when it does this because if you push stop and wait for the software to "catch up" it shows the part of your waveform you were missing on the screen. It's drawing the...

Re: P1166 fuel deviation is this a rare EMI case? PLEASE HEL

After hours of heart ache and a very patient and understanding customer and a lucky fault code appearance I have nailed it :D . For the first time since I have seen this vehicle an EGR fault code got logged. So I checked it, and the wiring to it with no fault found. Now just due to the shear randomn...

Re: 2008 VW Crafter BJL fuel cut???

There is some slack in the belt but probably not enough to cause an issue. The fact that the ECU is turning off injectors exactly after a camshaft pulse almost definitely means it is an intentional shutdown due to it being "unhappy" with an input. I would like to compare crank and cam with a known g...

Re: Grande Punto 1.3 multijet

Try unplugging large current consuming actuators 1 at a time. I.e EGR and throttle body motors to see if any of them stop this from happening it's rare but I have seen them leak unwanted voltage into an ECU and cause it to misbehave. Maybe even injector cut off test using scan tool may help.

Re: Grande Punto 1.3 multijet

Kona has pointed out that the injector current has disappeared long before the crank signal did. What ever caused that to happen is probably causing your crank signal on the scan tool to drop out too. You said that there was no fault code? If you simply unplug the crank sensor when running and the E...
