Re: SENT vacuum sensor??

Hi Here is a link to an earlier post regarding decoding a rail pressure sensor where Ben Martins and I describe in detail the problems that can be with the decoding of various SENT sensors. https://www.picoauto.com/support/topic22061.html I think one of the reasons you do not see any data being deco...

Re: Current Clamp Problems

Hi martinnr I do not know if it is quite the same problem you have with your current clamp as I had with my low current clamp. You can read what my problem was in this post. I can say so much that - it was driving me crazy. https://www.picoauto.com/support/topic21291.html Hope you fi...

Re: K-Line Serial Decoding Support?

Hi Ashtray1987

As Ben mentioned - try uploading your K-line psdata file and explain to us what your problem is or what you would like to know and maybe I can help you a little.

Re: Smart Sensors

Hi muttnjeff I can not display anything from the J1939DA document based on SAE.ORG's copyrights or anything else - I dare not. Regarding your question about sensor reporting, this document is very detailed regarding PGN and SPN numbers about where and what the individual bytes / bits have been used ...

Re: Smart Sensors

Hi What an interesting topic - the interpretation of the J1939 protocol. I have to admit that I have been following this topic from the beginning and thought it could be exciting and so is it. But in what way can I help you understand the J1939 protocol and its operation !. Ben has described most of...

Re: Kia Sportage 2011 performance

Hi Wim It is a broadband oxygen sensor used before the catalyst converter on this Kia Sportage. As for your voltage measurement from this broadband sensor is good or bad is hard to say but I know this sensor works with a voltage range from 0 mV to 4500 mV - so you are not out of specifications with ...

Re: A Shout for help.

With that said, it is not possible and I don't recall a G450 Kim on this vehicle. It does have an EGR Heat exchanger/cooler but no By-Pass arrangement about this cooler. If the engine is fitted with a particle filter, there must also be an exhaust gas pressure (G450) mounted somewhere in the engine...

Re: A Shout for help.

Hi Steve I don't know if this will help you in your quest for a diagnostic answer to this Seat Alhambra 2.0 TDI. A few years ago I uploaded a file to the waveform library over an exhaust gas pressure sensor (G450) - which is mounted in a VW Jetta 2.0 TDI - engine type BMM model year 2008. In my opin...

Re: Peugeot 207 1.4vti

Hi

This image is taken from a Peugeot 207 1.4 VTI - I know it's not a picoscope psdata file that you can play with, but by looking visible at the image - I would say the cam and crank timing are out of spec.

Re: High pressure fuel sensor no ground, SENT signal

I managed to find the correct part number of this rail pressure sensor which is used in this particular engine type 4.0 Litre TFSI V8. The spare part number of this sensor is 06L906054C which have a pressure range at 0 to 350 bar and are manufactored by Sensata. For those who are interested in decod...
