Re: Crankcase waveform analysis

Hi Steve, Many thanks for your reply. This engine burned oil, consuming 1.5L oil for about 1000km. Disassembled the engine and found carbon deposition in cyl 2 and 3 because of their worn piston rings. So it can answer why the pulsations of cyl 2 and 3 on the power stroke are weaker than the other tw...

Crankcase waveform analysis

Hi All, Can somebody help look through the waveform below: CrankCase waveform.jpg The red is cylinder 1 ignition, blue one is crankcase pluse from WPS500X. Fire oder is 1342. From the waveform we can be told: Cylinder 1 power stroke (or cylinder 2 exhaust stroke) has a higher pluse; Cylinder 4 power...

Re: The "Noise" in NVH

I am looking at this. The 120 shoule be 2*60=120, I guess. Frequency= (poles/2)*(RPM/60)=poles*RPM/120. In these scenarios we require multiple microphones placed about the suspect area of creak/ squeak with a rapid live update speed to in order to display the amplitudes on screen. What do you mean, ...

Re: NVH sensor which use?

Hi Steve,

When we recorded the amplitude of vibration with NVH sensor, how we know the vibration is acceptable or not? Is there any data define the value, such as smaller than 5mg is acceptable, larger than 5mg is unacceptable?

Many thanks.

Re: ta167 and battery test

Hi Anthony, When doing battery test with TA167, you just need to select a right mode: 2000A mode, and then the software will tell you exact reading. The output rate of the clamps (TA167 selected 2000A, TA015 selected 2000A,TA019,) we use for battery test with Pico Diagnostics is the same, 1mV/1A. So...

Re: New 200A / 2000A current probe / clamp

Hi Alan,

Will you stop selling the old 2000A and 600A current clamps in future, because of the excellent new clamp coming out?

Cheers,
Eric

WPS500X zoom function

Hi all, I have some questions about the zoom mode of WPS500X pressure transducer. Question 1: when I selected zoom 1,that means that I selected range 1 and signal will be multiplied 10 times; when I selected zoom 2, that means selected range 2 and signal will be multiplied 100 times; selected zoom 3...
