Have you checked the valve timing? And for air leaks at idle, that would give bad fuel trims but would get better as you get further up the rev range. Excellent video Paul, the pico is good here but I do like the manual injector pulse test as well. Probably a little clearer to understand until you've dealt with a handful.

Nice little case study, had a very similar issue with a BCM on a Astra j. I use loadpro leads with my DMM, the more I use them the more I like. They've really helped me out.
