Not sure I understand the underlined part ? I think I possibly misunderstood your question and was remarking on the entire ignition event. But possibly where the clamp is in relation to fault will yield different results. For example the rotor notch on the coil lead but not the plug lead. Although ...

I think the same. First kick on the Primary and nothing on the secondary. FF Is it not correct that everything after the EMF kick (spark line) in the primary is a feedback of the secondary ? so why don't they match then if the secondary is shorting to ground(picture in previous post) (picture below...

To me, it kind of looks like it's tracking to ground.

What colour are your plugs?

Hi hbr

I agree with Scannerdanner, in your first capture it looks like the spark is tracking to ground.
And just a tip to help when doing ignition captures, try keeping the sample rate at 1MSsec or you lose too much info - firing voltage.

Not so new.

Hi all..... Not a new user as such. Just not been on here a long time (details lost ect :oops: ). Been using the scope now for about 5 years and every day is a school day. Love a challenge. Hope to help and learn more.
