Re: Advice on waveform

Hi

Do you know what ignition system there are installed on your car ?

The reason I'm asking is that i know that some GM cars are using a system called "Compression Sense Ignition (CSI)".

If this is the case you has to use a different strategy to diagnose these ignition systems.

Regards
Kim

Re: Fiat Doblo 1.3

Hi Kevin I have looked at the first capture you have taken of the MAF sensor and injector number 1 again. Are this capture taken with a warm engine ? The reason I´m asking is - that I know that some cars equiped with multijet injection system controls the number of injections under and above 60 degr...

Re: Fiat Doblo 1.3

Hi Kevin A comment on the missing oxygen sensor. I think it's a bit odd there is no oxygen sensor on this car- when i know on a Fiat Grande Punto 1.3 with a 75/90 hp engine where there are a oxygen sensor mounted on this car. Are you sure its a exhaust gas temperature sensor on your car ? Regards Kim

Hi there I would take a closer look at the Wastegate Solenoid before doing anything else if I were you. DTC P0246 means Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid A High. You should also measure boost pressure from the turbo either with a pressure gauge or a voltage reading from the MAP sensor. So there is som...

Hi First i want to say - that i have no solution to your problem. It seems like it is temperature related and that could mean there is something wrong with your coolant temperature or your fuel temperature sender (G81). As you have done a lot off replaceing parts you had to dig deeper to find this f...

Re: can bus problem or software fault ?

Hi What you need right now is a good wiring diagram to diagnose this problem - you won't solve this problem by looking at a serial scanner - if you ask me. With the starting point in P1613 which indicate there is no communication between the CIM and the engine control unit or the signal is distorted...

Re: 2003 Renault trafic 1.9 f9q

Hi You should check the duty cycle values of the rail pressure regulator. I've found some data that may help you in diagnosing the DRV valve - it´s from a Renault Megane II with a F9Q 816 engine which is very close to a Trafic engine. With the engine running and the engine coolant temperature > 80°C...

Re: 2003 Renault trafic 1.9 f9q

Hi Do you have any diagnostic trouble codes ? To start backwards with your so called good common rail pressure - I think there is a issue with way the ECU shut down on. The pressure in the rail should come back to the same pressure with KOEO, but as you can see - the ECU and thereby DRV are shut dow...

Re: 2003 Clio P0170

Hi Dave The fuel pressure at 3.6 bar sounds good. Do you still have the P0170 trouble code ? Did you also check the function of the fuel pressure regulator ? Have you measured the pulse width on the fuel injectors with your picoscope ? The LTFT affects the basic fuel duration of injectors and when t...

Re: 2003 Clio P0170

Hi Dave Your test of LTFT & STFT should also be done at other running condition than at idle speed. With your starting point at idle speed - it looks like your total fueltrim is minus 43 ( 28.1 - 71.1 ) which is a engine running rich. So the outcome of your 3000 rpm test will tell what direction you ...
