Re: FREELANDER with BMW DDE Version 4.0 System

Thanks Andrew for replying. This model is on the changeover time, it does not have a lift pump in the tank only a low pressure supply pump on the side of the fuel tank along with the filter. AD advise the low system fuel pressure should be 2.6 bar [+-] 0.2 bar, tested it today and live data shows it...

Re: FREELANDER with BMW DDE Version 4.0 System

Hi Tech A whole lot of stuff not making sense. Could you post details of the car. Year, Engine Code, VIN, Reg No. DDE suggests it is a diesel, is it ? Yes it is a diesel technical data advises that the voltage supply should be 5V at pin 1, it is, and pin 2 should be 0V, it is, and pin 3 should be 4...

FREELANDER with BMW DDE Version 4.0 System

Hi, not sure if anyone has any experience with the above vehicle. Customer complained of power loss and running in limp mode. I scanned for codes and pulled out P1260 - fuel monitoring. I checked fuel pressure through live data and it read 1.65 bar, technical data advised 2.6 [+ -] 0.2 bar. I change...

Re: P1342 Ford Transit Throttle Pedal Circuit Fault.

No more news just yet unfortunately, the van runs OK every day at the moment, however I take on board what STC has mentioned, and that is temperature, it seems that this fault occurs in colder conditions rather than warmer from recent experiences. I don't feel that unless the idle speed has increase...

Re: P1342 Ford Transit Throttle Pedal Circuit Fault.

Might get another chance tomorrow afternoon to have another look at this van hopefully. The van has not displayed anymore of the symptoms since I last posted, a bad electrical connection "maybe" but I would have thought a faulty pedal/ECM after a longish run would show up the fault fairy often but n...

Re: P1342 Ford Transit Throttle Pedal Circuit Fault.

A very BIG THANK YOU to Martyn for moving the post, and to tangoman and Fioranocars for posting your replies and including diagrams, it is very much appreciated. I have printed the information from both of you to help me work through the fault. A couple of things to say; The van has been driven agai...

P1342 Ford Transit Throttle Pedal Circuit Fault.

Hi guys, I have a Transit 2003 (ABFA) that intermittently raises its own idle speed to approx 1500 rpm, when I turn off the engine and restart the idle speed is normal again. I have carried out a code read to receive the code above and completed a road test with the scanner connected to record some ...

Re: Buying a PICO 4 channel scope

Thank you Phil and Picokev for your replies. I may not have worded my post correctly but I think Phil understood about the 8 channel scope I was referring to, I was not initially sure how many were available, sorry about that Picokev. So Phil, this kit 355 77 1430 from ECP, is it the 4425 ? Can I us...
