Re: Astra 1.4 EcoTec running rich

Hi, What arjen is sayin is correct it will need a catalyst going by what you are sayin. If i were you i'd scope both sensor signal wires and see what bank 2 is doing as live data won't refresh as fast as the scope can capture. The bank 2 sensor should be a straight line which indicates the cat is do...

Re: rover 25 p0722

Hi Kim, I think at the point you have mentioned i stopped the car, turned ignition of, restarted car and drove back to workshop but i can't quite remember but that would account for why the supply dropped and came back at that point. If you look at my 'bad' capture the signal stays at 14v the entire...

Re: rover 25 p0722

Hi, I will maybe phone them tomorrow and see what they say about a diagram, There is a road speed transducer sensor, output speed sensor, an inhibitor switch and a ratio control motor. No signs of mechanical faults took the car a 20 mile run and didn't miss a beat, stopped, 10 mins later took it a r...

Re: rover 25 p0722

Hi Found a wiring diagram on net but its quite blurry is it is a trail and signal wire goes to engine ecu but found this info on another site and according to it the GIU (gearbox interface unit there name for TCM) doesn't control the signal from sensor i am testing so it looks the the ecu deals with...

Re: rover 25 p0722

Hi I measured the sensor at the multi-plug as i couldn't find a decent rover wiring diagram to see where signal wire goes. I had a look on autodata today and it seems to go to engine ecu so not sure how it gets signal from there to TCM maybe just wired straight to it but would rather find a proper w...

Re: rover 25 p0722

Hi Mike, Thanks for info, not had a chance to get back to car yet but i have had a read through that article and i am not seeing a square wave through out the whole capture as you said, but it also isn't a square wave in my 'good' capture the whole way through so not sure if this is a bad sensor or ...

Re: rover 25 p0722

Hi, Took the car a run and the fault occured straight away so stopped waited 5 mins and started and drove back to workshop and fault didnt occur and i captured that aswell which i have attached below, so could we use this as a good capture? Its also on a long timebase but if you require it re-done w...

Re: rover 25 p0722
