Re: pico first look sensor waveform

I have a renault scenic 1.6 with an annoying fault of intermittent power. No fault codes, only fuel trims awry LtFT 14% positive with short term from -20 to +20. I have just tracked down a used pico first look sensor and a 3223 pico scope capturing this waveform. any body see anything amiss with an ...

Re: Smoke Pro - Smoke Machine

Yes mate, I have seen it but not had it done there, not anywhere actually, yet. It was a suggestion and dare I say, it seems to work for him. It'll be interesting to see how this pans out & im all in favour of your approach. I have just built 4x first look type sensors out of an old alarm sounder an...

Re: wps 500

When I looked all I could see were INDUCTIVE ckp waveforms not HALL effect. Perhaps I didn't look properly in which case , I do apologise. Volrems the Volvo expert & STCs a master tech follow their advice but based on the compression waveforms, the timing still appears to me to be out? Again I'll ta...

Re: wps 500

There are no fault code. the glow plugs are ok, 15amps. Here is the timing, what do you think off it?? There isnt a waveform in the library for this car with a hall effect ckp&cam to compare it against(except yours) Time it up and check the fuel pressure/delivery. If the car was in front of me, I w...

Re: wps 500

2 parts. (Actually 3) as you mention low pressure 1 The cold running. Is is running bad cold or bad to start cold or both? Suspect the glow plugs or circuit. Do you have current to the glow plugs when cold before trying to start it, around 12 amps or so (per plug) on initial key? And I have no valve...

Re: wps 500

A quick look at your cylinder psd files (called away sorry) The compression towers look uneven (leaning to the right) & EVO event looks early (edit) I suspect the timing may be out?? Perhaps a tooth? Perhaps a second channel with an injector event for a reference???? also what v50 is it, which engin...

Re: Auto Solve Diagnostic Assistance

Hi Richard I've not really seen v13 and below other than it's description on the net.ive only used this version,16 and only the once. The whole software is just an aide and in my opinion just for the inexperienced, like me. I can see the benefits of a written reminder, a thought jogger when you're d...
