Re: Pico 6.8.11.20 corrupted my psdata files

Thanks Steve. Glad you identified before it gets too prevalent.

Did you figure out a way to salvage my corrupt file? I am guessing not but wanted to ask because I'd like to have it available.

Thanks again.

Re: Pico 6.8.11.20 corrupted my psdata files

I sent the files in as requested and here is the email I got back. Seems like a disconnect. "I am afraid we are unable to recover corrupt PicoScope6 files at all. You are thinking about PicoLog files which we can usually recover with a matching good file but that is not possible with PicoScope, sorr...

Re: Measuring AC current with 60A probe (PP218)

Thanks for the reply. I mentioned in my original post above that it would not let me create a custom range for the Amp probe below -5A. Makes no sense if the hardware is able to go +/- 60 A as I suspected.

Measuring AC current with 60A probe (PP218)

This is not an automotive system but out of curiosity I was trying to measure the current signal on a digitally controlled heat gun (Harbor Freight variable heat gun) using the 60A current probe. I ran into an interesting problem with the range settings that prevented me from seeing the negative sid...

Re: Pico 6.8.11.20 corrupted my psdata files

I sent the files last night to the email link. The trace file was in a lower level folder than described in the document but based on the time stamp I believe I sent the correct xml file.

I appreciate finding out what happened because I don;t want to lose any more of my historical files.

thanks

Re: Pico 6.8.11.20 corrupted my psdata files

I should have mentioned that this is Pico Automotive and I just updated it about 1 week ago to 6.8.11.20 from the version being used when I created the original files that are now corrupt

Pico 6.8.11.20 corrupted my psdata files

I just opened a psdata file I created about 1 month ago, modified some labels on the channels and pulled up some ruler bars, saved it and when I tried to reopen it, it would not open saying it was corrupted. It happened to 2 files so I am afraid to open any more. Anyone else have this problem or sug...
