Re: Little bit of help to understand coil signal??? negative

Hi guys, Well. I pulled the distributor out and I let it spin over the bench on the synchrograph. I connected all the ignition wires on it and I monitored the whole thing. The green line is the braking points, the yellow is the output from the 'Dinoplex', the Red is the coil lead and the blue is the...

Re: Little bit of help to understand coil signal??? negative

About the fuel pressure ,I checked the input pressure on the first carburetor and simultaneously on the last one (Just before the restriction tube before gas returns to the fuel tank). I didn't checked the fuel flow or volume, however I thought that if running strong, the fuel pr...

The distributor has 6 lubes and a 'single' breaker points (the Euro has 3 lubes and two sets of points, which...

Re: Cylinder Balance Test - Porsche V8?

Hi guys, I'm also having all kinds of troubles with the Pico Diagnostics software. This week I tried in a F250_GT/L V12 and it was showing errors. I repeated the test several times and it showed different results. :? I always trust with the Amp clamp. It is so much better 8) Then I pulled a spark pl...

Re: Error On Cylinder Balance Test

Hi Guys, Is long time since last post but as I told I'm doing this project only to practice... This time is to make an update of something that came to my mind. Some days ago I posted these readings of a compression test. The waves were weird and nobody had a clue of this thing. Ok. It's enough! It ...

Re: Error On Cylinder Balance Test

I am having difficulty in understanding how the ignition timing can be out on one bank and not the other ? The 5.2motronic has 2 crank sensors spaced 60 deg apart. So if a mechanical issue with the fly wheel should affect both banks? Has any repairs been carried out on the crank sensor looms that c...
