Re: Vauxhall Astra G Continuation

and scoping this none starter would have been a dead loss, so may I ask then, what equipment should I have used?
I disagree !

Pretty sure KTS reads them, Vaux-com with the appropriate breakout lead/schematic.

Re: Vauxhall Astra G Continuation

if I would have known this I would have borrowed the tool to make the job easier I told you that the PSG 5 could be read independently :? however this checking procedure may look ok but is not load tested? Welcome to diagnostics & GFF. terminal 5 must be the voltage supply, but where from? Consult ...

Re: 207 1.6 HDI P0087

We don't have the necessary equipment to control the pressure regulator to perform a pump proof test. We have a blanking kit which tricks it to produce maximum pressure The injectors are disconnected and regulator isn't on the system so the peaks and troughs should be pump rotations? So the answer ...

Re: 207 1.6 HDI P0087

I understand the description, I was trying to get you to. By replacing the rail pressure regulator on the pump with a dead end blank? A bit more to it than that ! So by that could it be that the pressure regulator isn't efficient? Slow switching which causes a pressure drop? Prove it if that's what ...

Re: Vauxhall Astra G

I have bought diagnostic accessories from Pico, very good stuff, but when I invested in my scope I was lead towards Snap On, however I have been looking at Pico scopes and this is my next investment I didn't mean it in that respect, just finding out if you're a scope owner. Otherwise it would be po...

Re: Vauxhall Astra G

I am not sure what more I could have done to guarantee the diagnosis? I almost forgot, with the correct equipment you can read the pump controller for DTC's TIS does not detail which control module, i.e. the ECM or the fuel injection control module actually supplies the 0.5...4v, so at that point I...

Re: 207 1.6 HDI P0087

What about desired/actual FRP from the data stream when it faults ?

How's about a pump proof test ?

That waveform doesn't look right to me with peaks & trough's like that & low in amplitude, read the DTC description - what's it telling you ?

Forget any road testing & do my 2nd suggestion.

Re: Vauxhall Astra G

has anyone got any advice please as I have done about the best I can.
yes consult TIS for yourself.

Also if the code is not present then does it return KOEO or KOEC ?

Oh & no mention of data stream neither ?

I almost forgot, with the correct equipment you can read the pump controller for DTC's.
