Re: Nissan Micra CAM/CKP known good needed

Hi ,cam flop occurs on very new engines too. Don't need to have any worn parts (chain or gear). The oil pressure is just not enough at times, also at idle. However cam flop is not the cause of a no start. Hi. I'm aware cam flop can occur with new engines. A new chain almost eliminated that 'flop'. ...

Re: Nissan Micra CAM/CKP known good needed

The reason I posted was because landroverman1958 was describing what is considered a good Nissan 1,3,4,2 waveform should look like. What I wanted to point out was a bad waveform did not necessarily mean a bad cam, sensor or capture. It was as 'Speck' pointed out 'cam flop' that caused the odd patter...

Re: Nissan Micra CAM/CKP known good needed

My post was reply to landroverman1958 how claimed that CR14 1,4L (from first post) has same pattern as 1,2L he posted image about. We can arque what means identical engine but there are engines that are the same with same engine code but pattern changes in years. So if engine code is the same but c...

Re: Nissan Micra CAM/CKP known good needed

Good morning that is a bad wave form,of the cam,it should show the cylinders trigger points for each cylinder in firing order,eg i342 with notches shown as 1,111,1111,11.i have got a wave form somewhere,,,,, Don't be so sure. This is a Nissan cam capture. Nothing wrong with the setup, cam or sensor.

Re: Capcha

Over two years and this problem persists! Why?

Hours spent on details to spend god knows how long to upload it. So frustrating. It really puts one off contributing.

Re: Individual cylinder valve timing errors

Since this came through as a newsletter it gave me the chance to re look at the findings. First, I would like to explain why I am beating this drum hard. When I first started scoping, I used to take every piece written by proclaimed guru's and the mentors as gospel. Only years later finding out what...

Re: HVAC RMS

Like the theory STC but in the real world you wouldn't last five seconds. In fact some of your text book ideas will destroy an AC system. It's the kiss of death. - period.

Re: Little bit of help to understand coil signal??? negative

Hi Debbie.

IIRC you had a timing problem with a Farrari. Did you get an answer to that?

With your latest. Can you do the same capture (running, fault occurring) and include a sync to cyl 1?
What do you think of pg 9 204ms? Advance? I may possibly be having deja vu here(Mick  )
