This is the guy I was talking about, My DIY FLS close up:

Easy to build and fast response enough to keep an eye on the subtle changes from the tail pipe
And this is a waveform sample from the tail pipe:
Exhaust sample.JPG
The red trace as you know is the channel B and represents the exhaust waveform, AC coupling.
Channel A is starter motor current

Once you get a decent scanner, try to use the Freeze frame data, this capability is very useful for intermittent glitches

Now We have a good reference waveform to compare with, very valuable information that for sure will help us in our daily diagnostics. :D If I understood right, the first and second humps are 180 degrees away each other and both have to be 90 degrees away from the miss...

Our PicoScope software knows what scope devices to look for, so sadly as the OTC device isn't going to be in that list of devices, it won't be recognised and won't work. As far as I know the CKP relearn procedure is accomplished via Scan tool special function procedure
