Re: Ford Smart Charge problem

Sorry about that PhilS did previously advise me about the 8 channel scope back in February now having read back through threads. I completely forgot what he advised, just thinking Pico are automotive. I was just reading the Smart Charging Thread that's all.

A perfect example of where we need more than 4 Channels just to test an alternator:

Re: Capcha

I totally agree about this capcha thingy on this forum, I must have copied the text and repeatedly tried to post it at least 30 times before it finally posted. I was wondering if the moderators had a facility on this forum to control it so that we would lose heart posting when things get out of hand...

Re: P1191 Opel Vectra Z22YH engine

Well, had to take another look at the two frames - link in page 4 post 28 if you want to have a look - I saved and compared the pressure peaks - fluctuations in the rail - from frame 8 and 9. Look at this picture and see yourself: https://mega.nz/#!kF9iHCbL!dK5t-SZmvi7AxDiNhKkCtTOVE9Tiy0DT7X5eFCA6o...

Re: P1191 Opel Vectra Z22YH engine

I would suspect the manufacturer of the pump will have voltage ranges to compare your readings to, by example, BMW DDE version 4.0 diesel HPP's have a 40/40 voltage range when using a scope, anything outside those upper and lower limits suggests a fault present.

Re: Passat(form hell) 1.9 tdi AVf engine misfire

My feelings about these types of problems are that they are dangerous, that defective condition is no different to me than driving a vehicle at 70 MPH on the motorway then the code P1576 appears with total loss of throttle pedal response, total disaster in my opinion. P1576 Accelerator Pedal Failur...

Pico might get jealous if their scopes can't match the cycles
