Re: WPS500 Pressure transducer back leakage tests

Hello Liteace, the system tested was a Bosch EDC 15C

I hope this helps?

Re: Primary voltage on a waste spark distributorless ignitio

Thank you again for the feedback and duly noted about the "tool library" (Help files) which will be increasing in size with revisions and additions as we all progress. Regarding the burn time at zero volts, remember how we are testing and measuring the secondary firing voltage. (Using a near non con...

Re: PicoScope Automotive Top Tips

Often when reviewing waveforms the valuable detail is hidden until we zoom, measure and filter etc. Zooming is an invaluable tool but can add confusion when trying to keep track of the general perspective of the whole waveform. (The zoom overview can help here) However using the scaling feature of P...

Re: Primary voltage on a waste spark distributorless ignitio

Well here we are with the GT86 ignition waveform. Unfortunately I could not gain access with the current clamp with the time constraint but I have got the IGT signal in relation to secondary activity. As a result of testing we will now make a break out lead for the igniter as I can see some real val...

Re: Primary voltage on a waste spark distributorless ignitio

Hello again and thanks for your perseverance given the school holiday incident which made me smile. (I understand the scenario believe me) I have attached a very similar waveform from a GT86 which demonstrates the rapid inducement of voltage into the secondary circuit as the primary is switched off....

Re: PicoScope Beta 6.9 Waveform Library Browser

Thanks again for the feedback Daniel and duly noted with reference to editing. Again this has been discussed here at Pico and something we need to address. 20MB would be there or there about with reference to file size, but its the increase upon upload we need to resolve. An amendment to the process...

Re: VW Lupo Valveproblems

Thanks for the feedback again and for the additional waveforms. I have just been thinking this through further (dangerous I know) looking at the peaks at the point of inlet valve open: Cyl 1 270 mbar Cyl2 656 mbar Cyl 3 449 mbar Cyl 4 461 mbar Cylinder 1 being the lowest, I suspect number 1 cylinder...

Re: PicoScope Beta 6.9 Waveform Library Browser

Thank you Daniel for the post and taking the time to provide the image. At present there is no work around regarding the upload of these files but we are working towards a solution. I guess one of the questions has to be "How large does the upload file limit have to be set at to cover the majority o...

Re: VW Lupo Valveproblems

Thank you for the posts guys. Looking at the compression waveform, the presence of a good vacuum pocket and peak compression suggest the valves of the cylinder you were testing are intact. I have attached an image of my thoughts regarding the odd peak between exhaust and intake stroke. I suspect an ...
