Re: Skoda 1.4 tdi crank sensor

As he said. Need the file.

That screen image may have just missed the money shot. Looks like the VRS amplitude reduces further (last switch).
Can't add any more to that.

Re: Focus egr problem.

I hold my hands up on this one as I don't know how to set the scope up to measure Hz? On the tool bar you have your channel. Beside that you can select the range you want and beside that is your selected coupling. You will find it here. You have the choice of AC or DC coupling or Frequency. I think...

Re: Bedford CF Ignition system

I'm not sure of your set up: A - signal (20:1 attenuator selected) B - Primary ( +/- 20v selected) C - Your power supply is being pulled closer to gnd than the primary :?: D - Not sure what was going on there but you could of just used 'Secondary ignition probe (Pos)' No need for Math channel. Also ...

Re: motorbike ignition fault

Not sure I understand the underlined part ? I think I possibly misunderstood your question and was remarking on the entire ignition event. But possibly where the clamp is in relation to fault will yield different results. For example the rotor notch on the coil lead but not the plug lead. Although ...

Re: motorbike ignition fault

I think the same. First kick on the Primary and nothing on the secondary. FF Is it not correct that everything after the EMF kick (spark line) in the primary is a feedback of the secondary ? so why don't they match then if the secondary is shorting to ground(picture in previous post) (picture below...

Re: motorbike ignition fault

To me, it kind of looks like it's tracking to ground.

What colour are your plugs?

Re: Fiat 1.6 2001 primary.

Hi hbr

I agree with Scannerdanner, in your first capture it looks like the spark is tracking to ground.
And just a tip to help when doing ignition captures, try keeping the sample rate at 1MSsec or you lose too much info - firing voltage.

Not so new.

Hi all..... Not a new user as such. Just not been on here a long time (details lost ect  ). Been using the scope now for about 5 years and every day is a school day. Love a challenge. Hope to help and learn more.

Cheers.
