Re: Vauxhall Opel Astra 2.0 Diesel 2012

Are you thinking 1800 bar is too low? I'd have thought that was enough to run.
That drop in fuel pressure, is that after it dies or before?

Can you get waveform with cam or crank, injector pulses and fuel pressure?

Deep cycle battery health check

I've been wondering if there is an accurate way of checking the RC of a deep cycle battery using a scope? Some way of avoiding the 20A discharge tests the take hours. Perhaps if we hook up a load to the battery and monitor current and voltage over time we could come up with a math channel that will ...

Re: 2005 honda hrv misfire problem

Please add more channel labels and notes about what we are actually looking at. Makes it more likely that you will get good help I notice that in your secondary ignition waveform that the energy at the end of the burn time is quite high when compared with the firing voltage. The height first oscilla...

How to add psdata files

I tried to upload a capture just before but it keeps telling me that the file is too big?

Its only a single page that had been saved so pretty hard to make the file any smaller. Is there a way to save a capture in a slightly lower quality or something?

1995 Toyota 4runner hard starting when cold

Could I please get an opinion on this cranking relative compression test? It's an old diesel so injection trigger available to isolate specific cylinders This vehicle takes a long time to fire up when cold. The glow plugs have been replaced and are drawing 60A You can see that the current from the b...

Putting a negative bias on the scope probes

I was watching some video's of Bernie Thompsons and he's using an Escope from Automotive Test Solutions that puts a negative 2V bias on his probes somehow. This means that when you back probe a connector the voltage is lifted to 0V (or higher) and you can be confident that you have a good connection...

Exceeding the specified current of a current probe

If the 60 amp current probe was left on the main battery cable during cranking, would this induce enough voltage in the probe to damage it?

How to zero the 60A current probe BNC+

HI

I have the later 60A current probe that doesn't have the wheel the zero the gauge. I'm trying to diagnose a parasitic draw but my probe is reading .43A before I've even put it over the wire.

How do I zero this gauge please?
