Re: Understanding Crank Signal Misfires

The waveform also reveals the max speed a not working cylinder achieves is not only lower when compared to a working cylinder but this peak in speed takes place a considerable amount of crank degrees/time earlier than in the working cylinder. The reason being less energy liberated by the "air spring...

Re: in cylinder pressure wave form thats got me baffled

I've seen similar shaped waveforms from this specific engine with a two plug per cylinder design on a working cylinder where the second plug was not disabled from sparking. The peak pressure obviously was significantly higher but the contour of the capture looked almost identical. It calls my attent...

Persistence mode

Does the pico 7 software offer the option to use this feature as it was available in pico 6?

Re: PicoScope 7 Automotive Software

Does Pico7 offer the option to save files in another format than psdata (matlab specifically) as it was possible in Pico6?

Re: Zoom feature in cylinder balance test

So the zoom feature does work now with the latest beta version but.... I think it would be even more beneficial if it was possible to not only zoom into the signal graphs but then also being able to scroll through the entire capture while maintaining the zoom level. Could this be considered for a fu...

Re: Zoom feature in cylinder balance test

Thank you for the reply Steve.

I do confirm the problem does exist on mouse operation as well as on touch screen.

Zoom feature in cylinder balance test

I can not zoom into the signal graphs of the cylinder balance test. The zoom function does work in other tests, for example the compression check. Is this me doing something wrong or is it a bug?

Re: Aircon malfunction, no cold air, no DTC.

Thank you Roman for this case study.

Because you're talking about paint removal: Was this problem self-inflicted after some kind of bodywork?

Re: Exceeding the specified current of a current probe

The 60 amp probe will survive this....Actually its reading will max out around 200 amps and these readings are pretty accurate and in line with the measurements of a high current clamp. If you wanted to avoid the signal from the 60A clamp being clipped off than you may want to ac-couple it.
