Re: Smart Sensors
Thanks for the post, agree with your thoughts, I find it useful to use scan data for smart sensors and if possible export the data into a spreadsheet for review.

Re: CAT C7 ACERT HEUI Engine
My 2 Cents, in no specific order, put new batteries in (or a good charge), clean the cable connections, don't think this is the problem but would be good to know if this is what is driving the apparent low volts on the fuel PSI and any other questionable results between the two machines. Re: How to measure CAN bus loading
Ran into this quite a bit, can’t say for certain how to determine can overlaying but what we typically found was improper connection of aftermarket components, anything from scotch locks to removing termination resistors and tapping into the harness ends.

Guess I’m missing it, your capture settings look Like the trigger did exactly as it was set up to do.

Re: Duratorq 2.0 D, FRP sensor 5v ref
Not familiar with this engine but I would won’t to see the control side of the fuel rail pressure and verify upstream of the sensor is not influencing your trace, I would agree it appears that the signal is dropping out. Does it have any audible or visual indication of fuel pressure actually droppin...
