Re: Pico 7 for Linux

It appears that you did not uninstall the current early access version before attempting to install the stable. As far as apt-get is concerned, both packages are "picoscope" with the early access being 7.0.83-1r9319 which is a higher version than stable being 7.0.80-1r9123. This has potentially dama...

Re: Pico 7 for Linux

Typically we release builds for all 3 platforms simultaneously. Linux builds were delayed recently due to an issue on our internal servers which has now been rectified. Additionally all versions should be released at the same time (when applicable). Stable Automotive (and we dont yet mark any T&M st...

Regretfully we do not support Ubuntu 16.04 (or in this case its derivatives) and do not keep test environments for such distributions. My role and expertise within Pico Technology is not within the driver teams. However I am aware at some point that the glibc and linux kernel we build drivers agains...

Re: Pico 7 for Linux

Hello PicoWight It does indeed appear that picoscope is not detecting the driver package. It is possible that during the failed installations prior that the driver package was not installed. The 4823, 4425, 4225, 4425A and 4225A Automotive Oscilloscopes all use libps4000a as their driver and this dr...

Re: Pico 7 for Linux

Hi there. I am a software engineer at Pico Technology. As you are likely aware, there are a vast number of Linux distributions in use today and as such we cannot commit to officially supporting all of them. Our official support list has been narrowed down to Ubuntu 18.04LTS and 20.04LTS for represen...
