Re: signals on NOx sensor

Hi carputerke, Interesting question as typically we don't see those signals as those wires are not easily accessible. Is there anything in particular you are looking or is it just out of curiosity? As Martyn has mentioned if you have any waveforms to share then please feel free to do so. Alternative...

Re: Setra 517 HD Clutch position sensor

Hi flaurits, I agree with Roman here. Given you power and ground to the sensor appear to be good apart from some slight interference, the main issue is on channel A where the signal is being really corrupted. If the ECU is looking for the output either duty or frequency, it has no way of calculating...

Re: PicoDiagnostics Software for MAC

Hi Terrymc, Thank you for your feedback. PD is still very much a windows application sadly. Appreciate that there are a growing number of MAC and Linux PicoScope users so having the full PicoScope Automotive software available is important, in particular the growing need for NVH test equipment. I've...

Re: Hitachi ZW220-7

Hi Bruno, Unfortunately, it is not possible to trigger on decoded messages. This is down to the way we currently decode which happens only once the buffer is full or if the capture is stopped. I would suggest an option would be to remove the decoder and just have channels A and B for CAN H and CAN L...

Re: Hitachi ZW220-7

Hi Bruno, Thanks for uploading this capture and hopefully Martin was able to help you to decode your CAN data. Going a bit further on this and you may already have this information. The transmission rate for the NOx sensors is 50ms. The easiest way to determine the refresh rate is to look for the so...

Re: When relative compression steers you in the wrong direction

Hello both, Firstly - thank you Sharpy and yes, always something to learn! As I said above, being able to adapt the process following an experience like the above shows that we can grow as technicians. Maniekdaniel - thank you for your comment. You are right that an intake pulse would have highlight...

Re: TA496 vs TA473

Hi, In theory it should do. However, TA018 tends to have some problems with really low current as seen on the following webpage. https://www.picoauto.com/products/current-clamps/picobnc-60-a-dc-compact-current-clamp. This possible ‘sawtooth’ may hide the CAN current when you start to look closer. It...

Re: Pico Flow meters

I just bought the flow meter to use it with pico 4425. Do you have a video where somenone is showing connections and measuring flow, temperature and pressure Hi Victor, Hope all is well with you. Appreciate this is a late response, but just to let you know we now have video of the flowmeter in acti...
