Re: Gas analyzer probe

thank you, the problem I have is I don't have a gas analyzer right now, and I am trying to find a way to get one without paying the $3-4k that most units sell for. I agree with you that the liquid tester is not very accurate, I don't trust it very much, just use it as a backup to other tests.

Gas analyzer probe

I ran across a leaking head gasket today, I found it using a liquid co2 tester along with finding air bubbles coming from the cooling system. I was wondering if there are gas analyzer probes available to be used with an oscilloscope that would pick up co2? it would make things a lot simpler, especia...

Re: cylinder contribution issues

Wow, I did not see your reply until just now, but I ran the test using the frequency function and an injector coil current as the trigger. It clearly showed a drop I frequency on cylinder 5, I was able to overlook the dropout from the missing teeth, as it was just after tdc. I will have to try the c...

cylinder contribution issues

I was attempting to run the cylinder power balance test on a 2004 ford f250 diesel. I cannot get the test to acquire a good signal. I realize that the software does say that it doesn't work on all vehicles, but I was wondering if there are any tricks beyond what is listed in the software to get it t...

Thanks for pointing that out, I had been running it with a filter, I ran the test again with a longer time base and the patterns are not moving in relation to each other, guess I have to keep looking.

Re: timing chain issue?

Thanks for the reply, the web page is telling me that the file is too large to upload. is there any way to cut frames out of these files, or do I need to re-take the recording?

timing chain issue?

Hey everyone, I have a 2000 olds silhouette right now that is misfiring under load, it is also setting a p0336 crank sensor fault. I ran a cam/crank correlation test with a pico 4425, both readings were at the sensors, both sensors are hall-effect, the crank is 24x, the cam is 1x. I am not seeing an...
