wasted spark waveform interpretation

Hello Guys.

I need some help understanding this waveform in this waste spark system. I am confused as to why cyl 1 injector is pulsing twice in 720 degrees, from my interpretation this is incorrect. Help me understand.

Regards

Re: Signal noise on cam sesors BMW E87

Hello Guys

Thanks for all the feedback. I am still new to the pico. Although I have it for a while now. I only used 5 times maximum. Back to the topic discussion. I used sensor ground connected to the PICO and all noise/interference is solved.

Re: Ford Ranger 4.0 v6 DIS primary current

Hello Guys Found the fault on this car. The crank sensor was at fault. It was adjusted too close too the pickup wheel, all I did was take it a few millimeters back and the car revs up. This makes absolutely no sense to me. I have attached pics of the CKP at idle. The pic with the higher amplitude is...

Ford Ranger 4.0 v6 DIS primary current

Hello

This car hesitates and swithes off. There are no fault codes.

I am working on this v6 Ford Ranger with DIS ignition. I have connected the current clamp to the supply voltage for the coil. This is the pattern I have. I cannot make any sense of it Why does it have 2x (signal?) at times.

Re: Secondary ignition probes on 4 cylinders

Got you, thanks.

Still learning the different terms. Spent 10 + hours on youtube watching picoscope vids trying to grasp on what i'm seeing.

Wish I could travel to America for some training. Someday, maybe

What happens in the cse of the KING lead built in to the distributor. I am working on this ka24e engine, I have connected an inductive pick up to channel b. I just cant seem to correctly read the secondary waveform on chA the firing line is always off

Re: Secondary ignition probes on 4 cylinders

Thanks for the clarification.

The last pic I posted, why is the waveform blurry on the firing line.
