Re: Graphing duty cycle

Good evening, Chris, thanks for asking that question. I think to be able to graph the duty cycle would be a most useful feature.Other scopes can do it,why not Pico? The example that Chris used is a good one of where this feature would be most useful. It seems to me(total computer dunce) that most of ...

Re: Voltage interference on WPS signal?

Hi Ziko and thanks for the reply.

The scope is connected using TA000 BNC to 4mm banana plug on CHA and the BNC to BNC lead supplied with the WPS.

Thanks.

Re: Voltage interference on WPS signal?

Thanks Carl for your reply, Why did you use engine cranking current in the second capture instead of using a low current probe on the fuel pump circuit? Regards, Carl This is not a fuel pump but an engine driven oil pump. What's odd about the first capture is the pressure appears to go to about 100p...

Voltage interference on WPS signal?

Good evening, I am a bit confused about what's going on here and hope someone can help. Pico 3000,software 6.4.90.0,Windows XP The scope is set up,CHA on the battery terminals, crank the engine and the CHA signal is somehow having an influence on the CHC signal which is the WPS,until the engine start...

Re: can bus decoding

Autologic,
Any chance you could post some examples of the waveforms for us?

Thanks,
Paul.

Re: Primary Ignition Coil Renault Megane

Hello Peter, these Renault coils are wired in a unique way(as far as I know),where coils 1&4 and 2&3 are wired in series. Thus it is a sort of wasted spark system. If you look closely at your images coil1 gets fully grounded while coil2 doesn't,resulting in a lower kick. It hurt's your head trying t...

WPS500X custom probe wanted.

Good evening,

Hope this is in the right place.

Just playing with my new pressure transducer and I am looking for a custom probe that will display in pressure units.

If anyone has one would you mind passing it on please.

Thanks,
Paul Galvin

HDK sensor

Hello Guy, Thanks for your reply. Having done further tests my original post is misleading. The third wire is a common ground between the reference and signal wires The reference voltage is aprox 1.5 to 3.5 volts AC 10KHz. The signal voltage is aprox 1.5 to 3.5 volts AC 10KHz when the sensor is at t...

half differential short cuirciting ring sensor (HDK sensor)

Hello, I am trying to understand this sensor and have captured a few waveforms. The sensor is supplied on two wires by a 10kHz,opposite phase AC signal and the third wire is the output signal. On my sensor the output voltage is a steady 3.5v under all conditions. Does anyone know how this signal is ...
