Re: Pico scope not reading!

The space bar start / stop function is reliable. The thing you need to remember is that the capture window needs to be the active window in focus. Re: Pico Automotive Feature Requests

I noticed the other day that the duty cycle measurement "low" has not been addressed. I took the trouble to ring Pico & plead my case & it was said that the request is on the list & has been for some time. Paul Danner raised the issue back in 2012 too, https://www.picoauto.com/support/topic9209.html...

Re: Ford Fiesta ABS Testing

Add an Amp Clamp to channel B and it really does paint a pretty picture of that sensor output. That would have to be a very expensive micro amps clamp wouldn't it STC? These magnretoresitive sensors produce a very subtle & rather messy / noisy signal in my experience (on these Fords in any case).

Have you got any specific vehicle information, so that we can determine the configuration?

Is the effect you are feeling, like a standard single cylinder misfire, or is it anything like this...

you need to make sure that your setup has some allowance for those stray 30,000 volts that often make a break for freedom.
Going equipped with Known Good HT Lead(s) would minimise the risk perhaps ?
True, but things are only "known good" until they fail, which everything ultimately does. . :D

Re: Inductive pickup from an old timing light safe for 4225?

These inductive pickup things, clamp around the high tension lead (spark plug wire in American speak) & harvest a signal from the electromagnetic interference, or Radio frequency interference (RFI) that is generated during the creation of the ignition event. In reality your inductive pick up is not ...

What is that whirring noise in the background ?
That is an E46 secondary air injection pump, delivering the flow and pressure required for effective leak detection.

No workshop compressed air needed.
