Re: Lifter knock, How can I id which one?

Hi, I thought I had better clarify the situation with the TA095 accelerometer and our scopes. The TA095 is an IEPE accelerometer and, as such, requires a few mA of constant current supply to function correctly. Our 4224 IEPE scope has the provision to supply this to the accelerometer from within the...

Re: P-V diagram

Hi,
The standard PicoScope6 application would be able to display this using X/Y mode but you would need to supply two input signals, one of cylinder pressure (instrumented spark-plug?) & one of crank-angle.

Re: 4423 for motorcycles

Hi, You should be able to do most of these things when you get familiar with the software. 1. Please use "Reference Waveforms" (Look in "Tools"). 2. You can "Zoom" in & out in several ways. 3. Please select "Save all Waveforms as", you can save up to 1,000 separate screens, depending on the number o...

Re: Coolant Temperature Sensor

Hi, The combination of the fixed resistor & the variable coolant sensor thermistor forms a variable potentiometer. +5V is applied to one end of the fixed resistor in the ECU. The other end of the resistor connects to the coolant sensor. The other end of the coolant sensor connects to ground. The vol...

Re: COP probe

Hi,
The output signal is quite small, use your most sensitive voltage range first. Use 1mS/div for the time setting as a start.

Re: Hz

Yes, my mistake. The frequency measurement option is only available on the 4000 series scopes. (It is built into the hardware, so can't be used on other scopes).

Re: Hz

Yes, in PicoScope6 you can display up to 2kHz as a frequency measurement by going to the AC/DC selection box which has the choice of AC/DC/Frequency. This works for any channel but only for the first one selected.

Re: change notes on picodiagnostics

Hi,
Why do you need to change it? Do you disagree with what is said?
You can't change what is in the report otherwise it would be too easy to just fake it all!
