Re: Audi A4 2.0 TDI Rough idle

In the A4 I dealt with it was the pressure regulator on the rail Diesel Johnny, I have a T5 with a 2.0 TDI engine with the rough idling, after resetting IMV valve was good for around a month then back to the rough idle and as if the fuel line is being crimped at times when driving especially when co...

Re: VW TDI Pumpe-Düse with extended holding current

Due to the design limitations of the PD fuel system the engine control unit has 5 calibration maps for the injectors and the one that is used is dependent on the current start of injection point. This is because the fuel delivery pressure is dependent on start of injection point due to the injector ...

Re: Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI PD ATD

Every time an injector is actuated your getting a reflection of it on the crankshaft signal.

You might have a bad control unit ,water ingress/corrosion in a connection etc...
Should check all powers and grounds for the control, loom for damage and connections for corrosion.

Re: Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI PD ATD

If you could get DC signal from crankshaft that be great but you definitely have injector voltage on the crankshaft signal.

Re: Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI PD ATD

Looks to me like you what your seeings is interference from the injector being activated?

Can you get a capture with more time on the screen and a current clamp on the common injector wire?
From memory a brown and yellow wire on the plug on side of head

Re: Scope hiding voltage drop??

I tried it four times, twice with the scope and twice with the meter Test point was pin two of cylinder one coil. Earth point was on opposite side of cylinder head close to cylinder four intake so definetly didn't disturb that. Again continuity check on the wire showed no more resistance than the me...

Re: Scope hiding voltage drop??

First I literally undone the 10mm bolt a bit, gave the eyelet a few turns and tightened it back up and the car started without the test instruments inserted and it started . I took it off the eyelet to inspect it and gave it a bit off a clean and the same on where it was contacting on the engine. He...
