Re: Jumped timing chain ID with a scope

Hi Paul, It appears as though this engine does have a timing issue. With this transducer on this particular engine, the actual valve events can be a bit hard to distinguish - the easiest event to measure is Exhaust Valve Opening - or EVO. I don't have my information systems readily in front of me, b...

Joseph,

What code was present when you had it checked?

Re: Transposig wave forms

Howard, To position the waveform, at the bottom of the voltage scale there is a box that by default is x1.0. Click this and it will bring up a dialog that you can change the offset and delay to position the reference waveform where you wish on the screen. Regards, Richard Boyd Crag Technologies, Inc...

Re: Transposig wave forms

Howard, You can accomplish this with the reference waveform dialog. Reference waveforms allows you to save a known good waveform to the software and allows you to view it at a later time - for example comparing a recent capture to your known good waveform. To setup a reference waveform, first open u...

Re: Voltage interference on WPS signal?

Amechs,

Have you tried swapping out the BNC-4mm and BNC-BNC cables with other cables? Your getting a ground loop situation - hence the reason the problem goes away when using the current clamp.

Re: Where to connect?

Paul, Which fuse you would connect to would vary based on the wiring for the particular vehicle. Usually this is the INJ fuse, but some vehicles split injectors across two fuses etc, so you will need to verify. A quick check on the wiring diagram will lead you to which fuse gives the injectors power...

Re: pico scope 3224, automotive kit

Jlim1, First off, I assume that you are using a PS-3223 instead of the PS-3224 as the PS-3224 is not compatible with the automotive software. Instead of using the Automotive drop down menu I would recommend setting the scope up manually. Under channel options for each channel you are using, first se...

Re: capturing and then outputting bit-serial data

Nathan, Either the 2300 or the 5200 series scopes with their built in AWG 'could' capture the serial data, and then export the waveform back out through their signal generator. However, I do not believe that simply capturing the data and then attempting to turn around and output the signal back into...

Hello, First off, welcome to the Pico forums. It is good to hear that you are researching products before jumping into and purchasing a unit. You asked for personal experience on Pico versus the Electrajetâ„¢ t-100 Toolbox. While I do not have any personal experience with the Electrajet model, I wil...
