Re: Ford Galaxy strange CAM waveform

Hi.
A faulty camshaft sensor reads the reference signal with an error.
The position of the TDC of the fourth cylinder determines a single narrow pulse.
The position of the TDC of the third cylinder is determined by two narrow pulses with a minimum gap.
Here is the correct signal :

Re: source of noise on sensor signals

Unfortunately, there is no way to view the diagram for this car.
Typically, the ECU has a power ground and sensor ground.
In this case, it is convenient to connect the ground of the oscilloscope to the PIN ground of the AFS.
With this connection, you will see TPS and AFS signals without noise.

Re: source of noise on sensor signals

I'm not sure what you mean by "mass" though. Could you clarify that? Mass - ground (machine translation ).:) Already corrected it. These traces were captured by backprobing the ECU connector inside the passenger compartment of the car. If there's a place I can probe the sensor that will give me a c...

Re: source of noise on sensor signals

Hi. The noise that is present in the signals does not affect the problem with the engine operation in your example. Such noises may be caused, as indicated above, the operation of the generator, drives the coils and injectors, fuel pump, electric motors, etc. To more precisely, you need the file its...

Re: Nissan X-Trail Non-start Timing Chain?

Hi. Feature of the NISSAN control unit is, that when the crankshaft sensor is disabled, the controller operates in emergency mode. Only the camshaft signal is used for synchronization. This can be achieved due to a specific signal from the camshaft sensor. Each cylinder number corresponds to the num...

Re: fuel pump wave form question

Hi. First of all, you should check the FP MODULE. Poor mass or power contact of the ECU. There may be oxidized contacts. In IDLE mode, the pump current is clearly understated. Only in the area of the marker 7.625 sec, the current is approaching the nominal. In WOT mode, the PWM signal increases, and...

Re: Nissan Evalia 1.5 dci K9K Engine

Hi. You're right. The cruise control error is related to the presence of a malfunction in the diesel control system. In particular, there is a problem with the regeneration of the particulate filter. Most likely, the same fault causes errors in the boost pressure. First of all, you need to solve the...
