Re: Torsion Resonant Frequency (TPMS)

Thanks again Steve,
Amazing work! I haven't had much of an oppotunity to sink my teeth back into this issue, but I'm always on the look out for a candidate. Should I get sufficient time I'll post as many captures as I can.

Re: Torsion Resonant Frequency (TPMS)

Hi steve, I just wanted to say a huge thanks for even just attempting to try to get an answer for this. It's this level of commitment to your craft that has taught me and many others, so much that we would never learn elsewhere. So I just wanted to bow down and express my grattitude for all the work...

Re: Knock Sensor Funny Business

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the information. Didn't think about using my High Impedence probes at the time. But it will definitely stick in my mind now for the next time I come across something similar.
Thanks again for the assistance.

Knock Sensor Funny Business

I was checking voltages on a Knock Sensor, but found that when I was measuring both circuits of the Knock Sensor at once, one of the circuits was being pulled down by 300mV, which caused a DTC to set. Measuring the circuits one at a time, was fine. What going on when both circuits are being measured...

Re: Torsion Resonant Frequency (TPMS)

Thanks Viktor and Steve, As you say Steve just when you think you're getting to grips with the complexities of cars, along comes something new to boggle your mind. The things the engineers come up with, blows my mind.... Would be very cool to be able to see that frequency in the wheel speed traces, ...

Torsion Resonant Frequency (TPMS)

Upfront, I don't have a waveform for this car. I only came across information after the vehicle was returned to the customer. The customer concern is for the Tyre Pressure Monitoring message appearing in the cluster. The system doesn't provide any actual readings, just an indication that one or more...

2 Wire Active Wheel Speed Sensors

I was carrying out some testing on a car the other day for a RHR wheel speed sensor open/short DTC. From the circuit description given by the manufacturer I took the sensors fitted to the car to be a 2 wire active sensors. Screenshot 2022-03-02 201722.jpg Part of the diagnostic guide asked me to che...

Re: Cannot print in Picoscope 7

The issue I have, is that although I can print from 7 it doesn't print correctly. The print preview looks fine, but the image that comes out the printer has the outside 10-15mm cut off. I can print from any other application, including 6 and it will come out fine. I can print to any other printer on...

Re: Trace not displayed

There's not an option anywhere in Windows 10 settings that you'll find to turn OFF and ON Hardware acceleration. You have to change the value in the registry entry. If you go the search Icon on the Taskbar and type in cmd it should show you the Command Prompt app and in the RH bottom half of the sea...

What message do you get in the cmd window when you enter the registry edit?
