Re: 207 1.6 HDI P0087

Where have you placed your probes ?

Graphing the RPS, and inlet metering valve duty cycle together would tell alot more.

What are your results from the low pressure side ?

Re: K-Line

As far as I know, it is normal for the K - Line to have a high voltage e.g 12 volts or 24 volts present. When a diagnostic tester is connected it grounds the K - Line to create a series of highs and lows ( 0,s and 1,s) to allow communication. If you had left the scope connected you would have seen t...

Re: Starter solenoid noise, VW Golf Mk.6

Valhalla, I dont believe the starter relay is your problem, the interference in channels A,C, and D are surely orignating from the high switching currents seen on channel B. This point is proved from the fact that, at one stage over 16 volts is seen on channel C. To rule out a solenoid problem, try ...

Re: Starter solenoid noise, VW Golf Mk.6

Just looking at that waveform, is channel C connected to terminal 50 of the solenoid or the switched output of the solenoid to the starter motor ?

Re: Starter solenoid noise, VW Golf Mk.6

As shown on the attached trace, which has starter current draw measured on a clamp at the starter battery +ve feed wire near the solenoid, not only Hi Vahalla, how close do you have the current clamp to the starter motor, is it possible the high current loads/magnetic fields are interfering with th...
