Re: Frequency waveform for 8-wire digital MAF

Thank you Steve,
I do have the 4423 but it is good to know that all is normal. The interference doesn't bother me now that I know that it is normal. I will try your tweaks next time. Happy New Year :D

Re: 2010 VW Golf 1.4L TSI Compression Leak

Hello all, my sincere apologies. I keep forgetting to tick the notify me box  I am humbled by the amount of discussion this has produced. As many of these diagnostic cases go the customer never gave me the opportunity to do further diagnosis. I haven't seen the car since. I would really like t...

Re: Resonance and Natural Frequency

Thank you for all of the effort in your response. I must have forgotten to select the notify me of a response so I didn't see your post until today. My main issue was with the 1-2Hz which you have cleared up by attributing that value to the body itself. Thanks again.

Frequency waveform for 8-wire digital MAF

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice on the waveform I've take from a 2015 Holden Commodore 3.6L V6 SIDI which employs an Hitachi 8-wire MAFM (GM actually call it a multifunction intake air sensor). These new MAFM's output Air Mass, Humidity, Baro and 2 air temp values. With all of that said my captu...

Resonance and Natural Frequency

Hello suspension experts, I'm a trainer and trying to clear up an inconsistency. In the PicoDiagnostics NVH Assist files it states that the natural frequency of a vehicle suspension is 10-15Hz and some newer vehicles are up to 20Hz. I have also seen other resources out there that state a range betwe...

2010 VW Golf 1.4L TSI Compression Leak

Hello, I have a 2010 VW Golf 1.4L TSI in the workshop with a Compression Leak in cylinder 3. It is only really noticeable at idle. The engine ECU is picking up the misfire and logging #3 misfire codes. No evidence of previous overheating issue, one owner and 160,000km on the clock. Spark Plug and co...

Re: Primary voltage on a waste spark distributorless ignitio

Regarding the burn time at zero volts, remember how we are testing and measuring the secondary firing voltage. (Using a near non contact, capacitive pick up COP probe or pick up leads) This is what I was trying to grasp!!! Thank you again for all of your support, top product with fantastic support :D

Re: Primary voltage on a waste spark distributorless ignitio

That is great and it would be handy if some of these newer systems could be added to the 'in tool' library ;)

There is only one last thing that I don't understand about my waveform and that is why the burn time is at 0 Volts?
Has it got anything to do with how I have set up the scope?

That would be wonderful Steve, Thank you:)

 NOTE TO ALL NEW PICO USERS
Remember to turn off your inductive amp clamps when you are finished each job, otherwise they'll be flat when you go to use them next time :?

Re: Primary voltage on a waste spark distributorless ignitio

Hello all, sorry for the delayed response. After refitting the faulty coil and getting the faulty ignition primary current waveform I left the file unsaved while I reassembled the car. My daughter (on school holidays) came along a played with the computer and deleted my image... I didn't realise thi...
