Re: Frequency a simple question !

Steve, Thanks or the explanation of how Pico reports frequency. I was using it in a wave form and was anticipating that it would report the the number of waveform cycles between the time rulers and divide by the time between the rulers. (counts/second). From your explanation, if I am interpreting it...

Re: Frequency a simple question !

I was trying to read frequency (in Pico 7) the other day on a saved file and it was reporting differing values as I spread the time cursors apart. Can it be used on a saved file or is it only real time measurement? Maybe I am doing something wrong.

Re: Beta 6.9.5 Start Up Problem - Enumerating Devices Hang

Steve, I tried the suggestions. here are the results: 1) uninstalling, removing the beta folder, and reinstalling the program did not resolve it. 2) I had to log off to remove the dialogue box from the screen (task manager would not clear it) 3) after I removed/deleted the trace file and sent it to ...

Re: Beta 6.9.5 Start Up Problem - Enumerating Devices Hang

I also just noticed that when I tried to save the file from the Beta app to send you showing the amplification of the signal trace when filtering discussed in my last post, it crashed the software rather than saving it. I tried several times and it will not save. I do have the latest stable version ...

Beta 6.9.5 Start Up Problem - Enumerating Devices Hang

I installed the Beta 6.9.5 on a windows XP Pro (SP3) Toshiba laptop and it hangs when loading on a dialogue box the says it is "enumerating devices". This is with or without the scope attached to the computer. I need to shut down the computer to get it to go away. Task Manager exit of Picoscope will...

Re: WPS500 battery life - throw transducer away?

My sense was this would be possible and I reread the manual several times figuring I was misreading it. Wanted to check it out since I am ready to purchase the WPS500 and wanted to confirm it was not some thing weird but true

Thanks for the response and clarification.

WPS500 battery life - throw transducer away?

The owner's manual for the WPS says to dispose of the transducer when the battery wears out. Can this be true. Throw away a $700 unit when the battery dies? Here is the verbage from the manual. "The WPS500X contains a lithium polymer (LiPo) battery. When the transducer reaches the end of its life, ta...

Re: Pico 6.8.11.20 corrupted my psdata files

Steve, I was playing around with a new file I created today with version 6.8.11.20 to see if I could duplicate the corruption. I was able to by changing the channel descriptions and using the "save" rather than the "save as". You are correct that everything worked OK as long as I used "save as" as y...

Steve,

Thanks. The part I was missing was the scaling step. Got it now.
