Re: Software not recognizing scope

As with all these sort of questions you will need to put some effort in at the front end .... So: Scope model? Software version (Pico)? OS? + Fully patched and up to date? What USB lead are you using? Does the scope work normally for measurements? Have you tried it on another computer? Post the answ...

Re: Ford FXJA/FXJB Cam & Crank WF Please

Vasek, You Sir are a gentleman and a scholar! :D :D Your WF gave me the evidence to present to the client to prove that the CMP/CKP alignment is wrong. I did suggest they return to whoever did the repairs originally but they want me to sort it out for them. I will post my findings and upload ...

Re: Amps maxed out.

Steve, In a word "YES" The longer version..... Currents clamps do not measure current and neither do Oscilloscopes. An oscilloscope at it's most basic level is the bastard child of a clock and a volt meter that later in life had simultaneous unnatural relations with a roll of graph paper and ...

Re: Amps maxed out.

Assuming the current in the circuit you are testing is likely to be more than 2000 Amps? (Circuit / System Knowledge! ) then probably the only way to get an accurate representation is to invest in a more suitable clamp for the expected peak current you intend to measure. If you are not too bo...

Re: BNC Extension lead

Hi Steve, I looked up from one of my benches just now and I noticed the coiled up end of the old PC network cable that was left in place from back in the day before cat 5,6,7 etc and realised that it was BNC to BNC coax  The cable in question is around 60ft long so I am going to get a ladder o...

Re: BNC Extension lead

Hi Steve, Glad to be of assistance. :D You have got me wondering now, whether a couple of TA130's plus an amp clamp would have a noticeable effect on signal accuracy and or clarity. I have a collection of those adapters so I think I may experiment with joining 2 leads together to simulate your scope...

Re: BNC Extension lead

The TA130 from Pico HERE is 2 Metres longer at 5 Metres, and no hassle with import duties and VAT being added on at the port. :D All you will need is a gender changer for couple of quid from eBay. (Example...
