Re: Any Better ideas for protecting my 4423 scopes USB port?

Will have to take another picture tomorrow at work. Currently stuck using an Apple Iphone. For some reason not saving in a file type that will work with this forum. I would normally just delete until I get the picture but once I started this post I don't seem to be able to delete it. https://drive.g...

Any Better ideas for protecting my 4423 scopes USB port?

I've talked about this before, but I'm hoping there might be a better answer now. My 4423 has taken a trip to the UK from here in the USA to have I believe the USB B port replaced. I can't remember if the motherboard was damaged as well. I am very thankful Pico took care of my scope. Since then I am...

Re: Yet Another Parasitic Draw Case

Two Steps forward, and one step back! Story of my life. I had this thing working flawlessly. And honestly much to my amazement. I could never get my Pico Scope to work well with any of my laptops. Randomly loosing the scope, and/or Crashing running Pico Scope software. When I moved to the IMAC all t...

Re: Yet Another Parasitic Draw Case

Hello again, sorry no joy on a thermocouple adapter/interface for your scope (4223) This has now been resolved thanks to the introduction of the 4x25A scopes, however, this does not help us here! No doubt a quick Google search will find you a battery powered temperature interface/transducer (e.g. 1...

Re: Yet Another Parasitic Draw Case

So where was the issue with connecting the scope to the Pi. A file needed to be embedded in the software for the usb connection of the Scope. It was missing. And once I was able to write that file into the rules directory everything was right as rain. From the command line "lsusb " gave me a glimpse...

Re: Yet Another Parasitic Draw Case

I really want to thank you all for helping me. I am a dog with a bone. Not giving up. In the picotech forum for picolog, I got some help too. I have my Raspberry Pi 3b+ up and running well with Picolog6 beta. I set it up as I had it set up with the Imac. Saved where I left off on the Imac. And copie...

Re: Yet Another Parasitic Draw Case

Alright. I'm giving up on the Raspberry Pi for now. Sounded like a great idea. The footprint on my bench is small. But I just can't get the PicoScope 4423 I have working with it. Usb permissions?!? My Imac will be running the show for now. Honestly, I just plugged my scope into my Imac and everythin...

Covid 19 has not kept me slow at work. So haven't been able to spend as much time as I'd like But Almost! I found where the software was installed. Not in the directory I was currently in. I had to watch the video a couple more times on doing the install. Installed to Directory : Application or othe...

Re: Yet Another Parasitic Draw Case

Sorry I am still having issues on the raspberry pi install. I Wanted to say thanks to whoever's updated the website for picolog to include my picoscope 4423. Feels great to be included. I thought I had picolog installed it on the latest raspian os. I am use to software installing to the current fold...

Re: Yet Another Parasitic Draw Case

Thanks Steve. Just needed to hear it. Down to missing one cable which I bought today. So will be starting up with the RPie tomorrow. It is working well on my IMAC for the moment. But as you say, I don't really want to run it on that. I would like to have it very mobile. My IMAC is not moving anywher...
