problems with picoscope 6.13.6 on windows 10

Post by dbrook »

Whilst using the latest release of software on a 4425 I notice the following happens

If the scope is in the stopped state, the coupling can be changed without a problem, if the coupling is changed whilst running the software hangs for 20-30 seconds, with the lovely spinning ball. I would have expected it to probably reset the capture and start again, but what holds it up for so long? The software doesn't crash, and recovers to operate normally again without intervention.

Is this a problem with the software or just how it works?

David

Hi David and thank you for the post.

I have just tried to replicate this and can change the coupling feature whilst capturing data and only experience a brief pause.

Could you send over a psdata file where you experience this condition?

I would like to replicate your channel settings, time base, coupling selection (AC/DC Freq) etc.

Take care......Steve

Hi,

I just fired picoscope 4423 up after while and its startup was really slowwww. program not responding message.
Updated to latest 6.13.6.3775 and same thing freezing startup and totally took 6 minutes to start program window, then additional couple minutes for selecting input channel parameters.
But when it worked, then it worked....

There is a known issue with this build. When in streaming mode, the display freezes at times. Data collection continues as usual but it looks like it has frozen up. Only the display freezes up.

If this is an annoyance, you will need to revert to the previous release.

The Pico development team have verified this issue and hopefully it will be corrected in the next release.

Hello,
Why I can't use a custom probe on a captured signal like a math?(for example today I checked the 5th injector on a 2004 Avensis and a few hour later I found some infos for air/fuel sensor custom probe made by Denso.I used a lookup table for my custom sensor(the voltage was measured between AF+ and AF-))
Denso diesel air_fuel sensor.rar
(649 Bytes) Downloaded 519 times
but I can't use it for the captured signal.Don't know if this is a issue of actual version ...
Maybe in a new version?
Thank you.

Hello,
Why here ,on Automotive download, isn't available 6.13.11 ?Isn't the same core for non-automotive and automotive Pico software?I can use 4425 with 6.13.11 without waveform library acces and some automotive guide...
Will be a 16 bits scope(like 5000 series) available for automotive soon?Santa Pico can help with this?
Thank you

Kudos to the Pico wizards! Looks like that bug and some others have been squished. :D
