Picoscope 4425 floppy disk sound.

Post by le_chum »

Hi, I just got my picoscope 4425 the other day and I would like to ask, when connecting my scope to the pico software it makes a sound/noise like on old computer reading floppy disks. It would only make a noise for a short amount of time, during initializing, I think. Is that normal? I thought that the scope is like a solid state drive without moving parts. Sorry for the noob question. I'm fairly new to this scope stuff.

The sound you are probably referring to are relays clicking as the scope sets up the ranges, so quite normal.

Oh, I see. Thank you for the clarification. I thought my scope was kaput.
