Pico rulers

Post by Technician »

Can anyone advise, when measuring voltage signals and using the rulers, how can I change them from degrees of rotation to say duty cycle! Using the function in the measurement tab does not seem to change it!

Thank you

Hi Technician,

Hopefully I've understood the question you've asked but I think what you would like to do is re-label the rotation rulers to something else. This is straight forward enough. Once you've dragged the rotation rulers out use the ruler tab at the bottom of the screen. Here you will be able to alter the number of partitions you have and the units it displays. The presets are Degrees and Percent but you can also add a custom unit which you can manually type in.

The picture above should help show what I mean but if you need further assistance let us know.

Kind regards

The phase ruler degrees are all evenly spaced. In real engine life that is not the case as the engine rotational speeds are always varying. Therefore the degree spacing also varies.

For better accuracy, other techniques need to be utilized.

:)

To reiterate, nerds training and support second to none imho.

On a side note of odd measurements and strange anomalies in expected waveforms. November group therapy is out atm & has an extremely interesting VVT discussion.
