Car: Audi a3 1.6 AEH
Signal from the crankshaft
The signal at higher speeds exceeds 50V!
Measurement measured DC and AC. I will add that the car works properly, but sometimes it can turn off, the sensor resistor ok
That would be a better capture with a higher sample rate.
50v + is not uncommon for an Inductive position sensor at high speeds.
Do you have any suggestions?
You are wasting time scoping it whilst it is running, you need to catch it when it turns off to determine why.
Scope on Battery Voltage, Crank, Injector & Coil Primary. Then wait until it cuts out.
Set the trigger, falling edge, single event, to just below charging voltage (Smart Charge Paralysed), far right of the screen. Set a long time across the screen - that will hopefully stop the scope at the right time and you will catch the culprit.
Being able to trigger from a RPM Math channel would be brilliant, leaving all 4 channels free to measure. That then is a Feature Request to Pico - Another thread.
