2009 insignia cam fault

Post by Sam-F »

I have a 2009 Vauxhall Insignia 1.8 2HO/A18XER petrol that has just been brought in from another garage who have fitted a replacement engine to it. But the car is idling & running rough & turns over for about 10 to 15 seconds before it starts .
on scanning I get P0341 inlet cam fault and P0366 exhaust cam fault
I have scoped the 2 cams attached (001psdata)
And the crank and a exhaust cam attached (002psdata)
but I don't have any scopes images to compare them too can anyone tell if the timing is correct these scope images

thanks Sam

Hi Sam
Thanks for your request on the forum about your problem vehicle. Please remember that you can always look on the waveform library for examples of camshaft sensor waveforms. We have just been involved with nice VW Polo 3 cylinder engine problem. A case study will follow but the chain had slipped 5 teeth and found with the WPS 500.
We always welcome saved waveform on the library, even if they are faulty sensors.
Thanks
Philip

Hi Sam. Have you sorted the problem with camshaft faults after fitting a replacement engine? I've got the same issue. Can you please give us some advice. Thanks in advance.
