K-Line

Post by Marvil »

Hi,
I recently started to use oscillograph and purchased Picoscope 4425 a few weeks ago.
Same days ago one bus came in with the ABS system fault. I didn't have tehnical manual of this bus, but needed to find K-Line pin to connect my WABCO diagnostic tool to check the ABS system.I started look for signal, but couldn't find the right as it shown in the description about K-Line.
Could somebody tell me what I did wrong why I couldn't see K-Line signal just straight line approximately 21,35V (24 system).
Finally I found the K-Line and connected to WABCO control module.

Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, it is normal for the K - Line to have a high voltage e.g 12 volts or 24 volts present. When a diagnostic tester is connected it grounds the K - Line to create a series of highs and lows ( 0,s and 1,s) to allow communication. If you had left the scope connected you would have seen this.
