coparing waveforms

Post by franky »

how do you compare a saved waveform with one you have live on the screen I was trying to compare in cylinder running waveforms I saved one from a good cylinder and wanted to compare it with a misfiring cylinder it seems to me you have to have a degree in computer science to use pico now

When you have the trace you wish to use as a reference on the screen just Right Click on the display area, then select "Reference Waveforms" and the channel letter. You will now have a reference waveform added to the display.

Hello Franky and thank you for your post.

Could you take a look at the "Top Tips" section on the forum that will help with "Reference Waveforms" and alignment of "Reference waveforms"

http://www.picoauto.com/support/topic98 ... top%20tips

I know it can seem a daunting when using some of the advanced features of Pico but with practice I promise you it will become second nature as your knowledge develops with the scope.

All the best, take care......Steve
