Hi all, First a plug for Car Mechanics, I learned of Pico via a series of articles dealing with diagnostics in Car Mechanics (Sept - 12 to March - 13 ) which I have been reading recently trying to gen up on problem resolution for one of my vehicles. I will list the problem as a topic in the appropriate part of the forum to see what suggestions might be forthcoming.
Before looking at purchasing a Pico product I have a general question.
If my car has a 16 pin plug which is the right size and shape does that mean it is compliant. The vehicle is a MK2 2.0 HDI Citroen Berlingo registered in DECEMBER 2003, just before the legal requirement for diesels. I am hoping Citroen were ahead of the legal requirement.

The CAN Test Box connects to a vehicle᾿s OBDII / EOBD connector and lets you easily diagnose electrical faults. With the test leads supplied you can connect a PicoScope automotive scope, to the CAN Test Box to monitor any signals present, such as the CAN High and Low signals.
Whether your car's OBD is suitable for our CAN Test box I cannot confirm at this stage, but I will refer your query to our Automotive Technical Support.
The PicoScope is a very powerful tool however, and doesn't require the CAN Test box to provide you with diagnostic information.
Our entry level 2-Channel Starter Kit (http://www.picoauto.com/2ch-starter-kit.html), comes complete with a basic set of leads and clips to allow you to perform many common tasks including testing most sensors, relative compression and cylinder balance tests. Over time accessories such as current clamps and ignition probes can be added to expand its uses and convert a starter kit into a standard kit. With this kit you can measure and record up to two signals at once. If you want to measure and record up to four signals simultaneously then you need the 4–Channel Starter Kit.
The advantage of our equipment is you can see the signals at the sensors themselves, not just via the OBD port.
Hello Mike, Many thanks for your reply. I will look at the links and come back to you if I have any questions. Also thanks for forwarding my vehicle details to your technical people. Let me know what they say.
Regards for now Chris
