Pico 4425 is ok?

Post by LucaB »

Hi
I would like to buy pico 4425 but first I wanted some confirmation

I wanted to ask if even with a Pico 4425 you notice interference transmitted from one channel to another especially with accuisizioni of high frequency signals, with voltage peaks.

The following figure shows these problems.

Waveform with 4423.

Hi,

That does look odd - can you add the PicoScope 4423 waveform and also describe what each channel is connected to / how the channels are grounded. One quick point to note, on the 4425 each channel has to be grounded.

Hi Alan

Psdata files too large to enter.

All channels are grounded battery.

If I take off the channels of channel ChA ChB CHC no disturbance transmitted.
So I assume that disturbances are put on by CHC seganle ChA and ChB positive or negative in 4423 has internal problems, but my pico always been the case.

I'd like to know if other users have found these problems.

Hi Luca,

Another question - when you disconnect channel B does the noise go away from channel B?

If it does then it could be the noise is actually present on the vehicle wiring. Unlike the scope test leads, wires in the vehicle wiring looms are not screened so do pick up noise.

A helpful test would be to just connect channel a with the other channels left with nothing connected (open BNCs).

As to your original question - would the 4425 be better with this signal it difficult to say as I dont yet understand the cause of the noise on the 4423.

Regards
Alan
