Low amps clamp fault

Post by leemack »

I have 2 low amps clamps but one has decided to read exactly half the correct reading compared to the good working clampmeter.

I know they aren't to expensive but I don't have the spare £100 at present. Is there anything common to fail and fix it my self.

thanks
Lee

Hi Lee,

Sorry to hear of your troubles. How long have you had the clamp?

Its at leaat 3-4 years old I guess. Not really that much of an issue but thought it maybe a simple known fault like a poor contact internally.that I could fix.

Having 2 clamps is sometimes handy.

I'll ask Tech Support to reference this thread, they would know of something like this more than I would,

Thanks for getting back to me

Hello Leemack and sorry for the late reply.

I have just taken a look inside the clamp and cannot see any serviceable components!

I have also checked stock to see if we carry any replacement parts for the clamp but unfortunately we do not.

The clap does have an array of "trim screws" mounted to the PCB but we do not have the set up procedure for the settings of the trim screws and would advise against any adjustment.

On this occasion it is looking like a replacement clamp.

Take care.......Steve
