Hi all
Just joined the forum. I am retired with a backround in electronics.
Have always been interested in mechanical stuff doing own repairs etc.
Automotive electronics is reasonably understandable to me but have no real "hands on" experience.
Have started to play about with motorcycles (FI ones) as they are a bit more retro than cars and you can leave one on the lift for months while having a good fiddle!

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. Electronics is a great background for working on vehicles. On modern vehicles there is often far more to learn about the electronics than the mechanical side. Add to that you are probably already familiar with using oscilloscopes and you have a good head start.

Regards
Alan
